Petition to the U.S. Congress, 1831 Dec. 27.

Petition to the U.S. Congress that the sum of $15,000 be appropriated to buy a lot and build thereon a building suitable for a Customs House and Public Store, inasmuch as inadequate facilities are now rented with danger to records, as in a recent fire, and there is no safe place to store spirits which are not covered by certificates of payment of duties. Signed by Ingoldsby W. Crawford, Collector, and other officers, and 110 citizens of New London, Conn.
